Declaration of Dual Degree
Students who wish to earn two undergraduate degrees can declare a Dual Degree. Students working towards a Dual Degree must complete at least 15 hours at Illinois Tech for their second degree that are above and beyond those required for their first degree. Upon graduating, the student will receive two diplomas.

Declaration of Double Major
Students who wish to earn two undergraduate majors on one degree can declare a Double Major. This is different from the Dual Degree listed above since there is no 15 hour above and beyond requirement. Only a limited number of majors with significant overlap qualify for a double major. Upon graduating, the student will receive one diploma with both majors posted.
