The week of April 9th is National Student Employment Week, where each year colleges and universities across the country recognize the importance of the student work experience. On behalf of Illinois Institute of Technology, the Student Employment Office is celebrating with a full week of activities to show our appreciation.
Students, Nominate Your Employer!
We are collecting submissions from student employees who want to shout-out how working for your supervisor has provided you with new skills and knowledge. You can nominate that supervisor to win a recognition award. We highly encourage you to submit your own quote and nominate a supervisor here.
Supervisors from all departments on campus will also be encouraged to nominate their student employees for a chance to win awards.
Supervisors, Nominate Your Student/s!
Supervisors from all departments on campus have the chance to nominate their student employees. Three winners will be selected to win a prize. We encourage you to nominate your student employee/s here.
Similarly, students will be able to nominate you, the supervisor, for special recognition for your hard work.
Nominations are due Friday, April 6 by noon and winners will be announced Friday, April 13.
Student employees, thank you so much for all of your hard work! We really appreciate your effort and this week is meant for you! Your teamwork means everything!

Trivia Challenge - April 10-12
The Student Employment team is inviting student employees to participate in the "Trivia Challenge," a series of fun questions which will be posted in Illinois Tech Today! Each day, responses will be due by noon and the winner will be contacted to pick up their prize from the Student Employment Office.
If there is more than one winner, a random drawing will be done to select one winner. Answers to all the questions will be published Friday, April 13.
Decorate Your Office
Departments are encouraged to decorate their spaces in appreciation of student employees, starting Monday, April 9, through Friday, April 13. The department with the best decorations will win a prize!
SEO has created 10 decoration boxes to distribute on a first-come, first-serve basis, however, you may also use your own decorations. SEO decoration boxes contain various items such as balloons, streamers, etc. The suggested areas to decorate are doors, boards, or windows.
Please complete this form to participate in this event.
Judging will take place on Monday, April 9. We encourage you to leave your decorations up for the week.
