Illinois Tech has contracted with Matrix Medical to perform COVID-19 surveillance testing. Testing is scheduled to take place on the Mies Campus outside of Hermann Hall, near the Man on the Bench Park from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Additional testing dates may be scheduled in the month of September depending upon the need of the Illinois Tech Community. Please visit this website for updates on testing dates and locations.

While you are away from from campus, you still have full health insurance benefits through the Student Health Insurance Plan. Your benefits may be used worldwide. Access to your insurance benefits can be found here. Your benefits will cover any expenses related to COVID-19.
Mandatory Health Insurance Policy for All Admits
We are pleased to offer our students health insurance coverage through Aetna Student Health. Under this tab you will find some general information about our insurance plan. You can also learn how to print your insurance card or "find a doctor"
All Illinois Tech students, including continuing and new international students, both graduate and undergraduate, are required to show proof of health insurance that complies with the U.S. Department of State guidelines. Additionally, Illinois Tech requires all international students to purchase Illinois Tech's health insurance, provided through Aetna Student Health. Waivers for comparable health insurance plans may apply. Please review our waiver policy. Please direct questions to email@example.com.
New international students that begin online in Fall 2020 do not need to purchase Illinois Tech’s insurance plan until they arrive on campus in January. They will be able to purchase the insurance at a reduced rate due to the shorter coverage period.
Please note: All students will be billed and added to the Illinois Tech Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) once enrolled in one academic credit hour of class. Accounts will be billed according to the term of entry (see enrollment and premium information)
