Professor Emeritus Platon Deliyannis Passes

The Applied Math Department mourns the passing of the Platon Deliyannis, Professor Emeritus of Mathematics, on Sunday, January 31, 2010.

On the faculty of IIT's Mathematics department for more than 35 years, Professor Deliyannis was well respected among students and faculty alike. He is survived by his wife Virginia; children, Constantine and Anny, and grandchildren Alex, Harry, Simon, and Zoe.
