Gunsaulus Hall, named after the university’s first president, features studio, one- and two-bedroom studio apartments with updated kitchen appliances, window treatments, and flooring, campus cable, 5-digit dialing, internet access, and a community help desk. Gunsaulus Hall offers Juniors and Seniors the benefits of apartment-style living right on campus in a single ten-story building on S. Michigan Street. Students can study and unwind in one of the two lounges located on the first floor. Campus housing is available on a first-come, first-served basis. It is recommended that graduate students submit contracts for housing as early as possible.
New this year: Graduate students can contract to live on campus for just the fall semester. Meal plans are optional for graduate students live in Gunsaulus Hall.

Gunsaulus Hall is a residential apartment building for upper-division (Junior & Senior) students only. There is also limited availability for single Graduate students.
Information for Existing Gunsaulus Hall Residents
Current Gunsaulus residents who intend to live on campus during the summer or the following academic year must take part in the summer reservation or the returning resident reservation process, both of which take place on My Room.

CAN FURNITURE BE REMOVED FROM THE APARTMENT?
Residents cannot remove University provided furniture. Residents needing accommodations can request furniture removal.

Residents make all payments through the Student Accounting Office. Payments are due each semester, similar to tuition.

DOES Gunsaulus ALLOW PETS?
Gunsaulus does not allow pets. Service animals are permitted. Contact the Office of Students with Disabilities for additional information.
IS SMOKING PERMITTED?
All campus housing is compliant with State of IL indoor air quality policies. Smoking is only permitted outside of the building.
IS A PRE-PAYMENT REQUIRED?
No pre-payment is required for on-campus housing.
