Each year, the decision to attend graduate and professional school is a core component for many students in their overall career development plan.
At Illinois Tech, we offer a wide range of resources to students and alumni in their decision process to consider various programatic options and to navigate the preparation and application process. For most students, the process of discussing these plans will include conversations with their faculty adviser, and the faculty within their academic department and college. Students will also want to explore conversations with Illinois Tech alumni within their field of choice.
In addition, the Office of Graduate Academic Affairs is another resource for students and alumni to review their academic program as they develop their plans for advanced studies including the various options for undergraduate students to pursue advanced degrees at Illinois Tech through our own graduate and professional programs.
Career Services collaborates with our colleagues throughout the university and hosts workshops and seminars on the topic of applying to graduate and professional schools, and partners with other universities to develop events and activities to showcase the breadth of advanced degree opportunities across the U.S. and around the globe.
Career Services will also showcase other learning opportunities pursued by our graduates post-Illinois Tech as examples of the myriad ways in which our graduates pursue their learning beyond the university, both formally and informally.
