Auditing a Course

  • Students who wish to audit a course need to make the request during the current semester's registration period.
  • Students need to submit a course audit request from their IIT email account to registrar@iit.edu.
  • Audits will not be accepted after the last day to add a class—see the Academic Calendar.
  • An auditor must pay full tuition, cannot take examinations, and does not receive credit for the course.
  • After registration closes, courses cannot be changed to or from an audit status.
  • Audited courses do not count toward degree requirements at IIT.
