Policies

Reservation Policy

Reservations will only be guaranteed if they are confirmed by ten business days prior to the reservation or by the date indicated in your confirmation e-mail. A full payment is required to confirm the reservation, unless a different arrangement has been agreed upon with the Guest Suite Coordinator.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations 10 business days prior to arrival will receive a full refund; cancellations received between 48 hours and two weeks prior to arrival are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. No refund will be granted for cancellations made fewer than 48 hours in advance.

Room Choice

Although we do our absolute best to accommodate your room choice, management reserves the right to change rooms in the event of unforeseen circumstances. If we cannot offer a room comparable to your original request, you will be refunded the amount applicable to the room.

Housekeeping

For guests staying three or more days, housekeeping will begin on the third day and every third day following. Housekeeping services are not available on the weekends.

Smoking Policy

All Illinois Institute of Technology Residence Halls are non-smoking.

Children

The IIT Guest Suites welcomes families traveling with children of any age. We do not offer cribs or cots. With Residence and Greek Life pre-approval, guests are welcome to rent cribs from an outside company, but the guest is responsible for being present when the crib is delivered and removed. Guests are responsible for scheduling delivery and removal.

Parking

If you plan to park on campus during your stay, please indicate that you need parking on the reservation request form.
Discount parking rates are as follows:

  • $5 per half day
  • $10 per full day
  • $30 per week

Parking can be paid under the Temporary Parking option on the secure payment site (provided in the confirmation e-mail) or by check. Visitors can park in the A4 and A6 lots. There may also be street parking available, for which a permit will not be required.

Lost and Found Policy

The IIT Guest Suites does not have a Lost and Found. Any items that are found will be given over to the Campus Information Center Lost and Found, which is located in McCormick Tribune Campus Center. For more information, call 312.567.3700. IIT is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.

Pet Policy

Pets are not permitted in the residence halls which Guest Suites are a part of. Any pets found in the Guest Suites will be immediately removed by University staff. Residents are responsible for lodging and care costs associated with the removal of the pet.
