The pages in this website are loaded with useful information about what to expect on Commencement day. If you do not find what you are looking for, please contact email@example.com. Or you can ask us at Commencement — we will be wearing the red volunteer shirts.
Commencement is not just for the graduating students; it is a day for families and friends, too. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10 a.m. on Ed Glancy Baseball Field, located at 31st Street and Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. The gates to the baseball field will open at 8 a.m. for the Opening Ceremony. Guests need to be seated no later than 9 a.m. Each guest 2 years of age and older will need a ticket to be admitted to the Opening Ceremony and Academic Unit Ceremonies.
Please remember that this is an outdoor event and come dressed appropriately for the weather. You are welcome to bring umbrellas, water bottles, sunscreen, etc. For more information on the Severe Weather Plan, click here.
Photographs and Videotaping
Please feel free to bring your cameras to take photos after the academic unit ceremonies. Guests will not be allowed to leave their seats to photograph or videotape the graduates during any ceremony. The aisles need to remain clear at all times, and especially during the processional, ceremony and recessional. No freestanding equipment will be allowed. There will be unlimited opportunities for personal photographs after the academic unit ceremonies.
