Announcing an Interactive Workshop on "Presentation Skills" on September 7

One of the hardest things to conquer in the job-seeking world is making a personal connection with potential employers. If you have ever bombed an interview even after lot of practice, or gotten nervous causing your body language to fail you when trying to connect with others, then you understand what we mean!

Career Services welcomes students and alumni to attend a presentation and skills session led by led by Dr. Daniel Moser, a consultant and professor at Northwestern University. Dr. Moser specializes in the art and science of communications training for professionals in finance, business, engineering, medical, design, and other technical fields. This session will focus on the development of skills for presenting yourself to others professionally. These personal skill are just as important for success within the professional world as your technical skills!

Attend this event to experience:

  • Presentation: "the art and science of communication"
  • How to have a conversation with an employer, specifically in a career fair environment
  • Speed interviewing exercises (stress-free group practice!)
  • Personal introduction and "elevator pitch" rehearsal
  • Networking practice
