Catering and Parking Information

  • Catering - Catering options through Sodexo are available for many recruitment events. View the complete menu and prices here.
  • Parking - A Mies Campus parking map is available here. For most events we will provide a parking code to waive the parking fee.

Promotion Guidelines

Providing a wide array of marketing and promotion strategies is included in all registration fees. This typically includes engaging students through: social media posts, flyers, video monitors across campus, our website, campus new, and printed signage. In order to fully promote events, it is important that employers provide the following:

  • Event Details - The earlier we have information about your event, the sooner and better we can promote it. This includes room reservation and catering needs, a company description and recruitment goals, audio/visual needs, RSVP information when applicable, and payment details. If staff is not provided with appropriate event details at least two weeks in advance (preferably sooner), we may not be able to fully promote your event.
  • Company Logo - We want to display and print the highest quality logo when we promote your organization. Using your logo is contingent upon receipt of a vector file logo, which is an .eps format file, at no later than two weeks (10 business days) prior to your event. If this cannot be provided we will still promote your company name, but without an accompanying logo.

Internship & Co-op Hiring Policy

Illinois Institute of Technology believes that internships and co-ops are first and foremost academic learning experiences for our students, and our hiring policies reflect that.  We want to ensure that our students have ample opportunity to weigh offers resulting from on-campus recruiting experiences and be able to choose the offer that best suits their academic and professional pursuits.

We also want to reduce incidents of students reneging on offers of internship/co-op employment, which is more likely to happen when students feel undue pressure to accept an offer.

Fall On-Campus Recruiting (including Career Fairs) - Students being offered summer internships should be given until November 15th to make a decision to accept an offer from the main Career Fair or ‘week-of’ interviews for offers made within a month of the event.  Students being offered summer internships from other on-campus interviewing or recruiting opportunities should be given at least three (3) weeks from the date of the offer to accept an offer.

Spring On-Campus Recruiting (including Career Fairs) - Students being offered summer internships should be given three (3) weeks from the date of offer to make a decision to accept an offer.

Failure to adhere to these policies may limit employer access to on-campus interviewing, including week-of interviewing around the career fair.

Accomodations

IIT is committed to fostering a campus that is increasingly accessible to people with disabilities and will make efforts to meet all reasonable accomodations. If you need an accommodation for a disability to fully participate in any event, please contact the Center for Disability Resources at disabilities@iit.edu or 312.567.5744.
