Richard B. OgilvieRichard B. Ogilvie served from 1969 to 1973 as the 35th governor of the State of Illinois. During his administration, Illinois became one of the first states to enact sweeping environmental legislation. Also during his tenure, a constitutional convention was held that produced the first comprehensive reform of Illinois government in this century. Ogilvie later became a partner in the Chicago law firm of Isham, Lincoln, and Beale.
