Herbert A. Simon

Herbert A. SimonProfessor of political science at IIT from 1942–49 and winner of the 1978 Nobel Prize in Economics, Herbert A. Simon was considered a brilliant polymath in the fields of economics, psychology, administration, and artificial intelligence. His book Administrative Behavior was a major development in the understanding of organizational decision-making processes. Much of modern business economics and administrative research is based on his groundbreaking, interdisciplinary work.
