Herbert A. Simon

Herbert A. SimonProfessor of political science from 1942-49 and winner of the 1978 Nobel Prize in Economics. Simon is attributed with the creation of behavioral economics. His 1947 book, Administrative Behavior, was a major development in the understanding of organizational decision-making processes. Much of modern business economics and administrative research is based on his groundbreaking, interdisciplinary work.
