Fanny Butcher

Fanny ButcherFanny Butcher was owner of the popular Chicago bookstore Fanny Butcher Books, which became a literary salon. She was also a renowned literary critic and columnist for the Chicago Tribune. Butcher’s autobiography, Many Lives, One Love, chronicles her friendships with such major literary figures as Ernest Hemingway, Sinclair Lewis, and Edna Ferber.
